12 Oct 1% Sleep Hack…
If you’ve worked with me for any length of time you know I’m a big advocate for 1% improvement.
The reason is, seemingly small 1% changes compounded over time have the potential for huge benefits.
So how can you sleep 1% better?
There are lots of little hacks you can do. However, detailing them all would turn this email into a small dissertation.
Instead, I’m going to share with you just one tip.
If you’re like most of us, you spend a lot of time in front of your computer, tablet or smartphone.
And whether you know it or not, it’s affecting the quality of your sleep.
How? Blue light.
That blue glow given off by your devices at night make you more alert. It does this by affecting your circadian timing – your internal clock that tells your body when to sleep and when to wake.
Needless to say, messing with your internal clock is very bad for your sleep.
So here’s what I recommend.
1: Put down your phone, laptop or tablet at least an hour before bedtime. Instead, read a book (preferably fiction so you’re not up thinking about a new business concept you just read about)
2: If you must use your devices turn down the blue light.
iPhone: Go to brightness setting and turn Night Shift ON
Galaxy: Go to brightness setting and turn Blue Light Filter ON
PC/Mac: Go to www.f.lux and download their app. Once installed it will automatically adjust blue light according to your time zone.
So there you have it, a simple little hack that I guarantee will help you sleep better and be more productive the next day.
Try it out then email me and let me know your results.
