The secret skill of successful business owners and great sales people for years has always been the ability to deliver information in a way that makes people respond…whether it be to close a sale or to simply move the process forward.
Research statistics show that one of the biggest fears of people is speaking in public. Since that’s true, it’s no wonder that the word “presenting” has a lot of negative connotations (and emotions) around it! Yet it’s necessary…it’s mandatory if you want to be effective and get your point across.
What’s ironic is that it’s so very easy to do a great presentation when you correctly learn how.
Most people have some notion in their head that you have to be charismatic, well spoken and “perfect” in your delivery to be a great presenter. Not true! Not all speakers and presenters are the picture of confidence and enjoy presenting…it’s not “required” to be so… What you do have to be is able to follow a system. And this is where the lost art comes in.
Here’s the secret…
To deliver an effective presentation, you just have to deliver the information in a particular way that the people want to hear it and need to hear it. There’s a particular structure that makes it easier for you to remember and easier for them to grasp. It’s all based on how the human brain works, and when you’re speaking you’re either working with it or against. It’s up to you to know the difference.
What does “presentation” really mean anyway?
There is a lot of confusion around the word ‘presentation’. A lot people think it’s only about speaking in front of a large crowd or being on a stage. In fact, a presentation is much simpler than that. It can be as simple as having a conversation with someone in the neighborhood, at a coffee shop, at the local PTA meeting, giving a toast at a wedding or even just communicating with your spouse. Above all, it shouldn’t involve pain (for you or the listener!)
And what about your business?
Do you love your business? How about that pressure? Do you remember why you got into it in the first place? It was fun and exciting in the beginning, right? How cool would it be to bring back that enthusiasm and passion back by increasing your sales and making your life easier? What if there were a way to communicate your sales message in a fun way that got you more sales and took off all that pressure! If you’ve been in business for at least a few years chances are you’re probably at least a little bit bored by your marketing message anyway, right? Learning the lost art of presenting information is a way to get more sales, get more business, and put more fun back into your business.
And your free time?
One of the quickest ways to sell more, that we know. Yet another way to free up your time is to get rid of that fear of whether they’ll say Yes or No. It’s uncomfortable and it takes your energy. And then what about those lost sales? Those take up a ton of time…ready to change that?
The real question…
Here’s the question you must ask yourself. Is presenting painful to me and to the person I’m presenting to? Being able to deliver information clearly, in a way people welcome hearing it, is one of the hands down best ways to get your time back. It’s one of the best ways to get your freedom back.
The Brown Paper Bag Process
I’m now going to give you a snippet of my secret formula which I call “The Brown Paper Bag Process.” In short, it’s where I take something as simple as a brown paper bag and make it so exciting and so captivating that people want to buy it for more than it’s worth by a multiple of at least 20x. The “brown paper bag process” is a way of presenting things to people so clearly that it demonstrates the value and the demand immediately goes up. You could take a product that someone has never heard of before using the brown paper bag process; get them wanting it so bad that they are ready to buy it! And not just at the retail value; at a price higher than retail because they totally understand the value it brings to their life.

What would that bring you?
The reason I can be effective selling something as simple as a brown paper bag, an empty paper cup or even a balloon for a price much higher than it’s replacement value is because I know the secret…the way human brains crave and retain information. When you deliver information in a particular order and a particular way, it works! People want to know more and jump at the chance to get what you’re offering.
What is that worth?
How much more money would you make if you could take what you’re already selling and talk about it in a way that’s fun for you and them and naturally leads them down the road to buying? And this is true for prospects that have never been introduced to your product before!
And your team?
How much more effective will your team be when you are a more effective presenter? Right now your team is doing the best they can based on what you are giving them now. What if you knew the psychology of the human brain and how it works? What if you could work with that to bring that power to your team and allow them to be more effective than they already are now?
